Garrett Unveils Global Strategic Layout

Following its first exhibition debut of full-series oil-free centrifugal compressors at China
Refrigeration Expo 2026 on April 8, Garrett released its long-term global development
strategy for commercial thermal management and refrigeration compression business
via exclusive global industry interview on April 23.
As a global pioneer with over 70 years of turbo aerodynamic technology accumulation,
Garrett formally enters the commercial refrigeration compressor track relying on
independent self-developed oil-free centrifugal compression technology. The exhibited
full product portfolio spans 25kW to 1760kW (7 to 500 refrigeration tons), with the flagship
1250kW (350RT) model targeting high-end scenarios including data center cooling, large
scale commercial water chillers, energy storage thermal management and electric
commercial vehicle cooling systems.

Core technological advantages of Garrett's new compressors include complete zero oil
contamination, outstanding energy efficiency performance, compact lightweight
structure, ultra-stable long-time continuous operation and low noise operation. The
advanced aerodynamic impeller design eliminates all oil lubrication links, thoroughly
avoiding oil pollution risk and satisfying ultra-clean air supply requirements of precision
cooling scenarios, while achieving 15%-20% higher energy efficiency than traditional
lubricated centrifugal compressors.
Global senior executive of Garrett Compressor Business stated: "China is the core strategic
market of global commercial refrigeration industry. The expo debut marks our official
market entry, and we will further expand diversified customized compressor product lines,
deepen localized technical service system in Asia market, and integrate mature turbo
technology advantages to develop more green high-efficiency compression solutions for
global cooling industry upgrading."
Moving forward, Garrett will sustain continuous R&D investment in oil-free compression
technology, enrich product power range coverage, and build long-term in-depth
cooperation with global downstream partners in data center cooling, new energy storage
and commercial air-conditioning sectors.
